Extremely frustrated.
The so-called Team Lead position interview asked questions like
What is the diff between PUT and PATCH
What is REST
What is concurrency in python
And cherry on top - where do you store your JWT tokens
Really? I have 10 yoe in the field. I have conducted 500 interviews in my career, and took 30 myself. Never have I seen a lead level interview to be handled like a junior/trainee. They then had the audacity to send a generic rejection response even though I answered all of their questions.
Following the "best practices" of thai employment, they also expect you to take an unpaid take-home assignment that I refused to do. This practice is wildly common in thai IT companies and needs to go. Even FAANG companies do not do this, I am not sure why these mismanaged shops believe they are special.
I went through the following stages in the interview process:
HR screening round
Technical interview with Team Lead
Take-home architecture task
Architecture discussion round
After completing all the rounds, I received a rejection email a week later. Unfortunately, no feedback was provided at any stage, which I found disappointing given the effort and time involved in the process.
Overall, the process was structured and clear, but the lack of feedback made the experience feel incomplete and less transparent.
