The interview process at MaintainX was unnecessarily long, poorly structured, and ultimately disrespectful of candidates' time. It dragged on for over 6 weeks, requiring five interview rounds plus a detailed case study assignment. While the individual team members I spoke with were courteous, the process itself felt disorganised. The case study, presented in the third round, was cited as the reason for my rejection. Still, I was only informed of this after completing two more rounds, which made the additional time and effort feel wasted and avoidable.
The final round was especially disappointing. I was kept waiting two weeks for the availability of two senior executives, only to have a 12-minute conversation that added no value to the process. If the case study was the true deciding factor, feedback should have been provided immediately, not after dragging candidates through multiple additional steps. Overall, this process left me with the impression of a company whose hiring approach is excessive, unclear, and inconsiderate of candidates’ time and effort.
