I spoke with a recruiter and then a hiring manager. There would have been another interview round involved in the hiring process but it did not get that far as the offered salary was not a match. While the role sounded intriguing it was nice to have that discussion with the manager before things progressed any further. The recruiter seemed to not have access to that information.
