This part of the interview was largely conversational, focusing on understanding my academic background and how it aligns with the program's expectations. The questions revolved around my current studies, particularly the subjects I’m immersed in, the kinds of projects I've undertaken, and the specific areas of research or interest that I discuss with my professors. Essentially, the interviewer wanted to gauge my familiarity with the coursework, how I engage with it, and the depth of my understanding. It was a chance to highlight my commitment to the field and my active involvement in learning through both formal assignments and informal discussions with faculty.

Interviewed with 3 different department managers before hire. First was a phone interview followed by two more in person. Overall the interview process was standard and took about a month.
