      Sent in my cv and basic info. Very quickly got an email for a phone interview. The first interview was also extremely quick. I got the feeling that the lady I was speaking to had alot of interviewees to get through so was speed running my call. She said her main concern was if I could transfer from retail to call centre. My entire work career (more than 10 years) is in retail and other customer service so that confused me a bit. After the phonecall I was sent an online assessment which was extremely simple. It was all Multiple choice questions, the first section was about how you would respond in various customer service experiences , second was attention to detail (riddles, spot the difference) and third was reading comprehension. After I finished it I was invited to a zoom interview almost immediately which seemed like a good sign. The zoom meeting was about 30mins with 2 interviewers. They asked why I wanted to work for moo, but interrupted me while I was talking to ask different questions. I brushed it off however and went along with it. I was prepared for all their questions except for if I had made a mistake before. Luckily I had some ideas to hand immediately lol. The interview went extremely quickly. At the end I asked if they had any concerns about anything I said during the interview or my application and they reiterated the fact that I may not be able to work in a contact centre because I had no experience. Their boss required 1 year minimum call centre experience which honestly made me start doubting if I'd get an offer. I received an email the following day with a pretty generic 'we felt other candidates were a closer match' found it amusing that we focused so much on giving and receiving criticism in interview just to get a very basic feedback email. While I'm grateful for the opportunity, I was made to feel like they truly believe retail could never be as difficult as a call centre which isn't the case.

      The interview process was 4 rounds, including the initial screening from the recruiter. Each round was with one of my direct managers, as well as a counterpart. The last round included a task to showcase my skills in the role itself. Although 4 rounds may sound long, I appreciated the teams diligence. It means Moo won't just hire anyone just because, but they ensure the people they bring on will match the current teams vibe, skills and work well together.

      They assigned a task for me to present a sales pitch for a fictional business. It was actually fun to do, as it gave me a peek into what the role looks like.

      Applied on the company site and received an interview request a week later. Scheduled the call with the recruiter for the following week. Recruiter ended up ghosting the scheduled interview and future email follow-ups.

      I appreciated the chance to interview with Moo. I was personally reached out to by a recruiter who said I’d be a great fit, so I was excited to move forward and committed fully to the process. I have over 10 years of customer service experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, which I believed aligned well with the role and company. After two interviews, I was surprised to hear the decision was based on seeking more call center experience — something that wasn’t mentioned earlier. It was also frustrating that I was told I’d hear back by the end of the week, but only got a response after multiple follow-ups. Clearer communication and expectation-setting would really improve the candidate experience.
