      Entretien

I received a positive response to my application relatively shortly after submitting it, in which one of their off-site recruiters invited me for a telephone interview and asked me for my availability during the following week. I suggested a particular day, but this day came and went without any response. The day after, however, I received a reply from the recruiter, stating that he would be handing over the process to one of his colleagues due to workload/other priorities, and asking me to contact this person with my availability on a specific day the next week. No problem: after I did so, this person confirmed the time slot well in advance, and even accommodated a change from my side at relatively short notice. The telephone interview itself with the off-site recruiter was pleasant and easy enough, essentially a rehashing of my resume and language skills listed therein. He was not able to answer all of my questions, but referred to a follow-up interview with the two hiring managers in Lisbon, for which I would be contacted the week after (as he could not imagine the feedback to be negative, also given the fact that salary expectations were within range). The next week came and went, and it was all radio silence from there. After 1,5 months (!) I stumbled upon the same job ad, published in the last 24 hours. Surprised, I decided to log in to Maersk's application portal, and it's there that I saw that I had not been selected. No feedback, not even a standard rejection email. As such, it's hard to imagine a poorer candidate experience, and it doesn't bode well for any other applicants to Maersk's new people hub in Lisbon.

      Question 1

Walk me through your CV. Which languages do you speak? What are your salary expectations? Do you have any holidays planned/are you available for a follow-up interview over the course of next month?
