I was asked to take 3 vacation days to drive to the middle of nowhere to interview for this position. I was asked many personal questions that bordered on uncomfortable. I've never had an employer want to know what the address of my h igh school was. They asked me to do a timed mock project which was poorly structured. At a certain point I felt like I was just there because the owner was fishing for adulation and knew damn well what the power dynamic was at that point. After coming back for a second follow-up interview they ghosted me. I didn't get the feeling anyone that worked there liked their job or had been there very long. I see openings for the same position at least every 6 months.
