      J'ai passé un entretien chez Luminis Health

      I had a 30 minute phone interview w/HR team member. She literally talked the entire 30 minutes and then asked me if I had questions. She never once asked me about my experience, interest or qualifications. I received a rejection email a few days later. When I asked what the basis was for the rejection given we didn't discuss anything about my background, she replied, "I rank based on education, certifications and experience. I select a group bit larger than what I plan for first round interviews. Oftentimes during the preliminary call, candidates decide to withdraw. This was not the case this time, so I went back to the candidates that’s experience more closely matched our needs." Really poorly written response and truly a waste of my time.

      Panel interview with several HR employees, then returned for a interview with the HR Director and Business Unit Managers. I ran into another candidate for the same position during my interview. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was clear one of the staff members knew someone at a former employer. The former employer has a bad reputation all around (culture, poor management, disgruntled employees, unprofessional and dishonest leadership), which is one of the reasons I left there. Everywhere I have worked (except this one former employer for a 1 year period) I have a fabulous reputation- period but I'm sure I didn't get the job because this staff member contacted their acquaintance/friend that works at my former employer but didn't work directly with me. I'm ok with that because if they would base a hiring decision on 1 person's opinions and not facts I think they did me a favor. What I have a real problem with is after investing all the time to travel so far to interview (twice) and to never even hear ONE word from the recruiter or anyone else that I didn't get the position shows a lack of professionalism and disrespect.
