The company asked for a lot of information (transcripts, work samples, etc.). Ultimately, they decided not to move forward with me (claiming they had already found a candidate.) Two months later, a recruiter reached out to me about a very similar job in the same office. I assumed the recruiter knew I had begun the hiring process for almost the same job a few months before. And I agreed to set-up a call. Well she didn't know I had previously applied. I informed her on the initial call and suggested she check with the team that had decided not to move forward with me. I didn't hear from her for three weeks, and then when she did reach out she said they were moving forward with another candidate. Again with no real feedback. It's one thing to do that once. An entirely other to proactively reach out to a candidate with a grosse lack of information about that candidate's very recent, very relevant experience with your company. And then to ghost them.

I submitted my school transcripts which in and of itself is ridiculous for someone out of undergrad for almost two decades along with professional references (who does that in 2021?) I had a pre-screening with a recruiter and then received an 8+ hour analytics assignment, which I completed without much trouble. Second interview was with someone who would have been a peer in the job I had applied for, and it went well. The "case" type question was convoluted and lacked the style of a case you might see at a consulting firm interview so it was hard to aim at their very ambiguous deliverable. The experience was generally positive (though annoying) and I thought the interview went well but they ghosted me until I reached out to the recruiter a week or so later to find out I was no longer in the running. I think my salary requirements were off putting, Ive heard through the grapevine that their analytics managers make sub 100k. Take that for what it's worth.
