      Entretien

My application process started off very well as I applied for the position in the morning and received a call from the recruiter within a couple of hours. Shorty thereafter, I was set up for an interview scheduled a couple of days later. The interview team was very nice—as I went through a panel interview with the associate relations supervisors and a 1:1 meeting with the associate relations manager. I asked specifically the motivation to fill this role prior to being signed up for an interview—which the recruiter said that they were trying to get someone in in early August. I asked the same question to my interview panel, which they stated that they plan to communicate a decision within two weeks (early August). After waiting the two weeks, I reached out to the recruiter to get a status update regarding my candidacy(as no proactive communication was made at that point). I sent emails and called and received no return message until about 5 business days later telling me that the process was going to be another two weeks before a decision would be made. Additionally, the recruiter told me that she would reach out once a decision was made. After waiting another two weeks (full), I received an automated decline email for the role that I had applied for. However, I saw that they had posted another associate relations position the day before and thought that I might still have been applicable for that position (as I received no proactive communication from the recruiter to tell me otherwise). A couple of days later, I received another automated message fir that role as well. To be clear, I am completely fine with not receiving either position as the competition is very high right now, but I am very displeased with the candidate experience that was provided with this process. After multiple reach outs to the recruiter for feedback on my candidacy, I was ignored and then received a automated message declining me from a role that I waited a month to receive feedback on. I understand that recruiting departments are likely busy at this time, but to not pick up the phone and decline candidates properly whom have taken time out of their day/work to interview for your company doesn’t sit well to me and has left me with a bad taste in my mouth about the company. I most likely won’t apply to another position as I have little confidence that the experience will be worth it.
