I applied online for an opening for plumbing pro. I received a call within about 3 days asking if I could schedule an interview for the following day. I accepted the interview. I was interviewed by the store manager and the human resources manager both who were very friendly. I was asked questions like describe a past situation where you had an disgruntled customer and did you treat the situation. Also one of the questions was why do you want to work at lowes. I was called in about three weeks and offered the job. I went in the next day and filled out paperwork and took a drug test. I waited about two weeks before I was called and told to come in for orientation.

The interview process was strictly based on your experience. If you have no clue what you are talking about then you will not be remotely accepted for the position. Plumbing knowledge is the biggest key. My background in plumbing is very knowledgeable, so over all the interview was pretty simple. The biggest thing is knowing how to get water from one point to the other. You will need to know the general codes for plumbing a residential home. These are the key points. If you can answer a lot of questions in this area you will be just fine. The other aspects is SAFETY. As a member of the team you will be working with power equipment, so they want to know your safety position.
