J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez LocalStack (Barcelone) en nov. 2024
Entretien
My first initial interview went well the recruiter he explained the role and the process to me and made feel quite at ease. I then booked into my first round of interviews with two senior engineers who then took me through the whole process we seemed to get on really well and they invited me to the private slack channel to conduct a series of assessments, which unfortunately i didn't make the grade. While I'm disappointed i didn't move onto the final stage i was happy with the communication from LocalStack and the efforts they made

Entretien
I applied for a position in september and went through a standard interview process that included two initial calls and a technical interview with team members. While the interviews themselves were fine, the overall process was quite lengthy, and I had to follow up multiple times to get updates about where I stood.
After the final interview, I was contacted to provide feedback on how the interview went, which I did promptly. However, I did not hear back after that. The lack of communication left me feeling disappointed, especially given the time I invested in preparing and attending the interviews.
I understand that hiring processes can be complex, but clearer and more consistent communication would go a long way in improving the candidate experience. It’s important to respect candidates' time and effort by providing updates, even if the decision is not to move forward.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez LocalStack
Entretien
I applied for a position in september and went through a fairly standard interview process (though very long), including two initial calls and a technical interview with team members. While the interview process itself was straightforward and professional, my experience after the final interview was disappointing.
Following the last interview, I was contacted to provide feedback on how the interview went. I responded promptly, but after that, I received no further communication from the company. It’s been more than 3 weeks, and I’ve heard nothing about whether I passed to the next stage or if the process ended.
This lack of follow-up felt unprofessional and dismissive of the time and effort I invested in preparing and participating in the interviews. Basic communication is a sign of respect for candidates.
I would encourage the company to improve its candidate experience by ensuring timely and clear communication, even if the decision is not to move forward with a candidate.
