Offshore recruiters - BIG red flag!
First impressions mean a lot, both for the candidate and the company, and my experience with LiveRamp taught me that they don’t value candidates or the candidate experience. They use offshore recruiters to fill U.S roles. My recruiter ghosted me on the first interview–just left me sitting there alone on Zoom. Then he rescheduled and spoke to me from his country in the middle of the night. This person barely spoke English–to the point where I’m surprised I was even moved forward in the process to interview with the hiring manager. Like, how are YOU evaluating ME? Both interviews (recruiter and hiring manager) were extremely robotic. They had to go through a specific list of questions in the same order for every candidate. There was very little conversation or getting to know me aspect. To the point where I had already talked about certain things when they got to a question on their list and just asked it anyway because that’s their required process. It was much more like filling out a form than interviewing so they could get to know me and my background and skills. The interview ended without enough time for me to ask my questions. And to top it off, they ghosted me. The only response I could get from the recruiter (after having to reach out multiple times) was that he had no information. Um… isn’t that your JOB?
