The 1 hour interview was scheduled by a recruiter where there was a technical glitch and I wasn't provided with the interviewer's email to connect to and the recruiter himself was on vacation. It had to be rescheduled. The interviewer told me about herself and didn't ask for my introduction , and went straight to coding. The question was very difficult so I told my thought process and asked if she could guide. Her reaction was, "Are you asking me ???" . Definitely no interaction she liked . After 20 minutes of straight trying out, She asked me if I wanted to continue or call the day off and told me it's not like we intentionally make hard questions. This is the kind of work we do daily.I highly doubt that looking at the types of work they do or case study they share on websites, simple math division work ROI, campaign measurements, ads optimization which any analytics person can do. The way they use the phrase "unbiased ML" frequently on their website, I even doubt if the company even know about ML. All models are supposed to be unbiased!! the pool of employees don't look exceptionally successful to justify the arrogance shown in interview. Mostly people have been teachers or professors and our senior data scientist after 15 years of their career.
