They have their sales reps interview new sales reps before speaking with someone in charge. While this sounds like an interesting idea, it is a bad idea in my opinion. Here's why:
I am a sales professional in my 40's with 20 years experience and I was interviewed by two young guys wearing flip flops probably in their 20's who asked me inappropriate questions like "who do you look up to?" I'm an adult in my 40's; I don't "look up" to anyone. It was very condescending to say the least.
At one point, one of them asked me why I wanted to work there, to which I replied that I thought it was an interesting product. He then proceeded to say that is is not and that it's actually very boring. This is not professional behavior from someone who should be presenting their company in a positive light for a possible candidate.
The interview continued like this the entire time, and I even saw the two interviewers shake their heads and roll their eyes at each other to some of my responses (they were sitting on opposite sides of me so they thought I wouldn't see).
Between the interview process and the fact that they all wear flip flops to work, I knew this was not going anywhere but finished the interview anyway out of sheer curiosity. Total waste of time for any professional who has dignity.
