After making it to the 3rd stage of the process, I was asked to present a 1.5 hour long case study in front of a panel (part Legacy Service Partners and part Lion Home Services which was the main client). It obviously took hours to prep for and the presentation was on site. I was told I'd hear back regarding the position by the middle of the following week. On a Sunday afternoon, I received a canned email response typically reserved for applicants that don't make it to the screening stage, saying they were no longer moving forward with my application. These people couldn't take the time to send a thoughtful, personalized, rejection email to the few of us that made it to that stage in the process and spent hours preparing and essentially working for free. The whole case study scenario seemed weird and scammy too. They said it was fake, but then right after the presentation asked if I'd be willing to relocate to one of the two locations mentioned in the case study. Glad they got a bunch of candidates to provide detailed marketing strategies for their new clients and then just ghosted them after. Disrespectful and completely unprofessional.
