      (Trigger Warning: Free Work) The current Director of Enterprise was the hiring manager and reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had an informal 30 minute interview that went well. She was very kind. She decided to send me to the recruiter next. The recruiter asked a few behavioral questions along with normal recruiter screening questions. He decided to advance me to the next round. All of the leaders were out of town for a company wide conference so I was told they would skip me a round and complete the 90 minute presentation because of my experience. They tasked me with a scenario of completing a 90 minute presentation (yes, talking for 90 minutes) while they asked questions. The prompt was to give an entire CS plan on how to move the needle to increase retention and revenue for Enterprise CS. Essentially, all of my intellectual property. I also had to design a PowerPoint and turn it in before the actual presentation. It took nearly 2 weeks to complete this task. I presented to the VP and two Directors and was given nothing but compliments on my presentation. I even received a response from the VP and one Director after sending a thank you note. I waited nearly two weeks for an answer. I got a call from the recruiter finally that I didn’t get the job and they went with another candidate. Oddly enough, I often check their LinkedIn page and they have never hired a new Enterprise CS Director. This leads me to believe my intellectual property was stolen and used for a position that wasn’t real. This is a warning to anyone to not complete any presentation assignment for this company as the position is likely fake.
