They asked me for cover letter so I wrote and sent them a cover letter. Then I got an on site interview with three employees. I believe one was a manager, one had technical knowledge and one worked on harware

They ask what makes me a good candidate and if I would be willing to do jobs other than software engineering if there was something that needed to be done.
Also they asked on technical question with white boarding
