First, a recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn, then phone interview, then came in for in-person interview with a couple managers. It was apparent from the beginning that there was some confusion and I thought it was strange they were asking me such general questions. The second interviewer then admitted to me that he had asked the HR person (same one who reached out to me earlier) what I had applied for and she said SHE DIDN'T KNOW. What a joke. Big surprise when I didn't get an offer. Not sure how you can properly interview someone for a position when you don't know what they're even applying for.
