I applied for a Client Partner role and was contacted by a recruiter within 24 hours of submitting my resume. I was then asked to complete a detailed 4-page, short-essay questionnaire that took several hours to finish—all before any interview took place.
Only after submitting this extensive questionnaire was I told that my application was now “officially submitted,” which made it clear that I hadn’t actually been in the candidate pool to begin with. This was never communicated upfront. I was also told that a member of talent acquisition would contact me within a week to discuss next steps. That follow-up never came. Instead, I received a generic rejection email exactly one week later, without ever having a single conversation or interview. At no point did anyone clarify expectations, answer my questions directly, or communicate transparently about where I stood in the process.
Kyndryl gives the impression of valuing thought leadership and client focus, but their hiring process reflected neither. If you value your time, proceed with caution.
