Max Compensation they could offer: $60,000 - Total misalignment with location and title for the salary and job description!!!! My interview process with Koss Corporate started out very positively. I appreciated the conversations with the team, the professionalism throughout the interviews, and the opportunity to learn more about the company and the role. The experience remained positive through the interview stages and into the initial offer. I received a formal offer, and I responded with a negotiation email outlining my expectations based on the scope of the role and the Milwaukee market, while also expressing openness to discussion given growth and advancement opportunities. Following this, the direct manager indicated that my expectations were higher than what they had budgeted. I was told they would revisit the offer and come back with an updated package. After that, communication slowed due to the manager being out of office. After I followed up the following week, I was informed they would be sending an updated offer, but I later received communication that the role was no longer a fit and the offer was receded. This outcome was particularly disappointing given the timing. I was actively planning a relocation to the area, and my expected start date was less than two weeks away. I had been transparent, responsive, and accommodating throughout the process and had already begun making personal and professional plans based on the role. I would encourage the company to ensure compensation alignment earlier in the process and improve consistency in communication after an offer has been extended and negotiations are underway. This helps prevent misalignment and avoids candidates investing significant time and planning based on expectations that ultimately change. Overall, the interview experience itself was positive, but the handling of the offer stage, negotiation follow-up, and timing of communication left a different impression.
