Negative! I had a pre screening interview with HR which I found to be a negative experience. The interviewer was very condescending when the topic of salary came up. As with most companies she wouldn't tell me the salary until I said the salary I am expecting. She then went on to say that the 10k increase I am looking for (which was within the salary bracket) was very unlikely especially after a pandemic and giggled. She then wanted me to explain why I felt the salary I was asking for was relevant. The salary I am expecting should not be relevant, the salary should be based on the role and the intensity of it, if travel is included and where the role is based and many other factors. Also a 10k increase when moving to a role a level up at a new company is not unexpected it's very reasonable. Overall I felt the interviewer was very unprofessional the way she judged and questioned my expectations and experience. She's obviously way off the mark as I am interviewing with several other companies offering the salary I expect.
