Absolute worst interview I’ve had. Four stages for this role is already ridiculous. I was told to put all my case studies into a deck, which didn’t make sense since they’re already on my website. The first HR screening was pleasant and the recruiter was friendly, but the in-person interview was hostile from the start — the interviewer rolled her eyes and asked dumb questions. The whole vibe was corporate and toxic. I lost interest by the end, so we wrapped up early. If you’re looking for creativity and respect, this isn’t the place.

20-min recruiter screen, followed by an in-person 1 hour portfolio presentation, a 2 hr design challenge and another interview with design leadership. I didn't get through to the last interview, was rejected with an auto message after the design challenge.

The initial screening with HR was pretty average overall. The recruiter was friendly and professional. I was asked around four to five general questions, and the process felt smooth and straightforward.

I was a little hesitant going in since I saw quite a few negative interview reviews, but I decided to keep an open mind when I got the interview invite. The process had four stages: a 30' interview with HR, an in-person portfolio presentation + technical questions, a take-home challenge, and a final in-person 1:1 with the director.
HR and the design team were friendly and easy to talk to, but the interview with the director was a negative experience. It was scheduled for an hour but wrapped up in under 15 minutes. The director didn’t seem interested at all, he kept looking at his laptop and barely engaged in the conversation. It felt like a waste of time, especially after making the trip to Toronto.
If you're considering a role here, just a heads-up: the culture seems to favor extroverted personalities. I’ve heard from a few people who work there that it’s a pretty social, “frat-like” environment where there’s a lot of pressure to attend work events and socials. So it might not be the best fit if that’s not your vibe.
