      Entretien

What a ridiculous recruitment experience it was! Recruiter 1 reached out on LinkedIn, after a quick alignment I decided to further explore the opportunity, as I'm familiar already with KnowBe4 and the role could have been a good fit. He said he will schedule a call for next week once he gets my CV. CV was sent a few days later as agreed. No response, no invitation. Followed up once more but I had other interviews keeping me busy. When I saw the job listing had been renewed, I applied directly and within 24 hours two different recruiters replied (well, an automated message from the ATS), scheduling a screening call. Then on the call, Recruiter 1 shows up, saying that Recruiter 2 and 3 are in another meeting, so he is helping them out. Starts his monologue and goes straight into his checklist, reading it from the screen and putting the checkmarks as I answer the questions. The best is when he asked "How did you learn about the position? Did you apply directly on the website?" Not that I expect everyone to remember me but isn't your ATS showing the source? Anyways, I told him he was the one reaching out to me on LinkedIn. He also told me upfront he won't be able to tell me anything specific about the role, as he is not in that field. Is that an acceptable excuse these days? This might be okay for trainee or junior roles, however I firmly believe senior positions and senior candidates don't appreciate wasting their time.

We regret to hear that you did not have a positive experience with our team. We do ask how our candidates found us as part of our recruitment process because many people find us through different channels such as social media or a top workplaces list, then use the website to apply, so our tracking data can be limited. By asking candidates directly, we can track which channels are most used so that we can continue to improve the candidate experience. It sounds like KnowBe4 was not the opportunity for you, but we wish you the best on your career journey!
