The interview process wasnt too bad all things considered. First, they reached out on Indeed, set up a phone screening, and had me take 2 different aptitude tests along with a personality test. Then they set up an hour long video interview where I talked to 2 team members and gave a presentation over one of my recent projects. It was nothing crazy at this point, however, they gave me the impression that they didn’t like me… which is fine, admittedly I wasnt the most qualified.
What bothers me is they left the call saying they’d get back to me soon about the next steps one way or another and then proceeded to ghost me. I get that I wasnt that MVP candidate they were looking for but it’s not that hard to send a courtesy email to someone who just spent hours of their time on this process. I get that it’s a small yet growing company, but the interview process left a sour taste in my mouth and I can only hope they address their hiring practices before eventually taking on bigger tasks.
