Found by a recruiter from California (that should have been my first red flag). Hired by CD's as ECD was on his way out the door (second red flag) and former AD was their 9 months. Interview process consisted of phone call with each CD and then beers and an interview with them at a restaurant next to the office, they immediately offered me the job. (they don't have offices in Boston or NYC or RI FYI) New ECD came in like a tornato, has something to prove. Don't let any of them fool you. Ask lots of direct questions, expect less then direct answers. They liked all my digital and web experience, all those talents were wasted on banner ads and eblasts, while they redo their website with Squarespace. Moved to burlington specifically for this job, didn't sign any sort of contract, (third red flag) got axed after less then two months for reasons unknown other then ECD is taking department in new direction. Not the type of people I want to work for. Blessing in disguise.
