      Entretien

*** Bottom line first: (1) Really bad experience, the interviewer which is also the CEO of the company hung up on me after mentioning that they intend to hide information about how it's going for the company from employees. (2) After 15 minutes of telling him about myself, I asked for some short background about what they were doing and he replied as followed: "I used to answer these types of questions but now I don't have time for this". The story: We had a 20 minutes call where I was very open with the interviewer about a bad experience I had on a previous company I worked for, where they lied to employees about the status of the company and made everyone work really hard without knowing that the company is about to be closed anyone. The next thing the interviewer told me is that they intend to do the SAME THING! Naturally I got triggered about it and told him that I don't understand why they would do such a thing to employees, and that he should know that I do have other options which are more than decent, that ARE willing to be open with the employees, especially when they're in management / lead roles, and expressed my disappointment with what he was telling me. At this point, he just hung up on me. I woke up early today, got to my office in order to make this call, read their whole presentation in advance and was excited about this opportunity for the last week just to have the interview tell me that he doesn't have time to tell me ANYTHING about what they're doing and hannd up on me. Be careful!!!

First, I am sorry this conversation invoked a past trauma. I really really do feel for you. However, you applied for a role at a Team Lead / Mid Level and yet began the conversation almost immediately with your aspirations for an Entrepreneur in Residence / Executive type of role. Not only were you not able to "Handle the Pressure" at that level, when the Founder shows you respect (and gives you a chance), but you chose to waste his (and your own) time in the process. I am very glad we avoided further interviews this early in the process. Having said that, I sincerely wish you good luck in your job search.
