Applied on company website for position. A few days later, a recruiter called to set up another call for phone screening. (Could have just sent an email with a calendar link) Confirmed for follow-up call with recruiter, went over basic info. Disappointing and unprofessional, the recruiter was reading my resume information like a 12 year old and was all over the place. I asked what type of health insurance provider they offered, and she advised who it was and then went on to state "Oh they are looking to change healthcare provider cover, I hope they donzelect United Healthcare. They are terrible, I'll quit if they get that for employees. " That made me feel cozy applying to this company, not! Then asked a question regarding info on the company the recruiter emailed me. "From the website about the company, what is it that makes you want to work here?" So I answered based on what I read, and the recruiter turned and said..."Where is that stated, I said on what sent me! She went on to say, well they change the info all the time and wasn't sure where you saw that at,." After the call, the recruiter advised that she would present info to the hiring team for any next steps. Received an email the following week advising that the hiring team would not be moving forward with me. I was fine, no lose to me, and was relieved in a way after my phone encounter with recruiter. For S&G's I replied back to the email to ask the reasoning behind the hiring team to not want to move forward. As always, the verdict is still out since recruiters ghost ya as soon as they have the opportunity. Advice - apply at own risk to this company - Everyone has their own experiences. I'm just sharing mine.
