      Entretien

My overall experience interviewing for this role was neutral. I found it somewhat unusual that the KP employee that initially contacted me to set up the interview did not identity her role within the organization when she called to set up the interview. As part of that process, she also performed a pre-interview "test" to ensure functioning of MS Teams. I had assumed she was a recruiter or in HR. I later learned through my own probing that she was actually a member of the hiring team. I was not provided any information about who the interviewers would be. I had to request that information, and learned that it was a panel-style interview with five manager/director level staff. (It only ended up being three.) I'm sure glad I inquired. I imagine someone that didn't press for information could have been a bit overwhelmed logging into that kind of interview without any heads-up. The team of interviewers were very nice, and they followed up in the manner promised in the end of the interview.

      Question 1

I would say this interview was somewhat difficult vs difficult. If I had not have probed about the specifics of the meeting in advance, it would have been more challenging. The interviewers took turns asking questions from a script of probably 10 or so questions. Each question had multiple questions within a question. Mostly questions that required a STAR format reply. An example would be Tell me about a time you made a mistake. How did you fix it? I can't say there were any major curveballs. Being prepared to give specific examples of successes, accomplishment, how you stay organized.

The interview was to the point. I did an online assessment, a phone interview, and a panel video interview. This took an overall 3 months before I was offered the position. There was a delay in the hiring process due to the holidays. Even after I accepted the position, the recruiting team was transitioning staff which also delayed the onboarding process.

      Entretien

Interviewed at the Regional Office in Pasadena. It was a group interview comprised of seven candidates. The interview panel consisted of an HR Manager, two department hiring managers, and an HR student intern. We were told to spend five minutes gathering info about the person to our right, and vice verse. At the end of the time, we had to introduce the candidate to the panel. After all the introductions, a round basket was placed on the table containing strips of paper. Each strip was a numbered interview question. We were told to pick a question, read it aloud, and answer to the best of our ability. The basket was passed around the table twice. The Hr Manager would further expand on the question with certain individuals. Then she would say great answer or good and smile. It feel like she was steering the panel toward certain candidates that she personally liked better or knew (three candidates were internal). The two department managers just feverishly took notes, checked boxes, and scored. At the end of the session, one candidate asked about the next steps. We were told we were the first group of the day, and a few more were scheduled. Another candidate asked about the length of the process, from interview til start date. We were told the process could be as short as one month or as long as two. Three separate positions were being filled from this pool of applicants. The HR manager seemed annoyed by the questions. She thanked and dismissed us.

All of the questions can be found online. Easy to prep ahead of time. Though the numbers went up to 50, many questions were the same reworded scenarios.
