4 technical rounds on C++, all went well. Scheduled 5th round (tech managerial) was cancelled stating candidate doesn't have good C++ concepts. Though I felt I didn't do bad.
When asking about the detailed feedback, HR doesn't have any answer.
The most funny part was in 2nd round which was taken by Senior Tech Staff, starts with asking percentage in 10th and 12th, when I replied with my %, he asks why was it less, and bla bla bla.
Then he asks which college, what favourite subjects, year wise %. I was kind thinking what is wrong with this guy :)
He was thinking how come tier-3 college guy can reach :)
I was not understanding why is he asking all these non-sense questions which doesn't check the technical capability of candidate, who has been in the industry for more than 10 years. Seems he was forced by his manager to take interview.
4th round was again taken by senior staff, he asked to implement Shared pointer, which I did, but when I was writing the cleanup logic in assignment operator overloading, he said it's not required. Though he was in-correct, he was not ready to accept. And given a feedback at the end, stating my concepts are not clear. I request the interviewer to kindly google it and clear his understanding.
In nutshell, this is the truth when company keeps long timers, they think company belongs to them, and their positions are all secured, and they think whatever they know is correct.
I request the managers and HRs to stream the process and send technical panels who are really interested to take interviews and listen to the candidates.
