It’s a long process but it’s worth it. It took almost 2 months from the day of my first interview to my first day of work and I’ve been working with a client for almost a month.
They reached out to me only a few days after I sent my resume, along with an essay about why they should hire from my country and the result for an English test.
I did my interview and received the feedback a few hours latter, then I was assigned to a guide, who helped me trough the next steps of the process (benchmark test, wifi test and they asked me to send 3 references and they contacted them and asked some questions about me).
Then I started Duck University, which consists on a 1-week paid training (they paid me 100 dollars). Even though I took an offline version because I was employed at the time, there was a lot to do, but it wasn’t hard. I had to record some videos, watch some video lessons and complete some tasks.
Then, I graduated at Duck University and started the Matchmaking process. It was only a couple weeks until I had my first interview with a client, but it wasn’t a match. A couple weeks later I had another interview and the next day I received the offer and started working on the following week.
I have nothing to complain about Job Duck, they were really transparent about all the steps and their employees that helped me through my process were very attentive.

The process was very fast, unlike some reviews I read. Their AI implementation in the recruiting process makes it convenient and more efficient. However, the 20-minute interview was the worst interview ever! There was a lady who was very mean and had an overall negative attitude the entire time. Her tone of voice was awful, and she seemed unprofessional in general. I was not considered for the position I applied for, which I understand, but they do not let the applicant know this beforehand. It was very noticeable that the recruiter had not read my application or documentation before the interview. When she asked the typical question, ‘When would you be able to start if hired?’ I replied, ‘In August.’ She then asked if I was currently working, and I told her no. After that, she rudely asked why it would take me a month to start. I explained that I had moved from another country and needed to take care of some things before starting, but she showed zero understanding of the situation. Honestly, even regular call centers have tried to make a better first impression than this company. If that’s how the internal team is, I can’t imagine what the clients are like!

Question 1
What is a professional achievement that you have accomplished?
I was disappointed that it was a one way interview. The questions were not difficult but they hardly focused on the job. They took about two to three weeks to respond to my application and sent a link for the interview but it seems like a trial run of some sort, maybe they do not want to waste their time and the first "interview" helps them to select the most suitable candidate for a proper interview.
