      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez JetBlue (Orlando, FL) en mars 2017

      Entretien

Completed on-line application/resume. A month later contacted for a 30 minute phone interview. Very pleasant and comfortable phone conversation. Invited to move on in the process. Contacted the next day to set up an in person interview. Was called on Friday and asked to come Monday. HR person told me no one would be available later in the week, so it was only day I could come in. Was told to prepare a short 10 minute presentation (not to teach/but to present). Currently in a different profession, and had a hard time getting the very next day off, but managed to do it. Arrived at in-person interview with 4 interviewers (1 manager, 1 HR, 2 supervisors). Had my computer, but room was not set up for a presentation which made me wonder if I was an afterthought. Interviewers made me very comfortable with simple questions (tell me about yourself, why JetBlue, etc.) while waiting for someone to repair connector to hook up computer). Did presentation and then was asked several STAR type questions, that were almost "brainteasers". They were not questions related to "training", so maybe purpose was to ascertain if I was cultural fit (although I had worked at company previously so my track record would have shown that). I had several questions at end, and when I asked if anyone worked in the field I am currently in, the interview was ended (not sure if that came across the wrong way, but I don't recommend asking a lot of questions). I was told they would be interviewing other candidates that week (contrary to what HR person had told me when she set up the interview and said no one would be available to do interviews later that week). I was so busy at work I did not think to send follow up thank you until 3 days later. Six weeks went by. I never heard back from anyone, and I did reach out once. The job was reposted. I applied again. I wrote to HR and asked her if she had made a decision on other posting at which point she did send me a copied and pasted rejection and told me the 2nd posting was filled as well. The interviewers were extremely friendly and put me at ease, but it was a negative experience because I was left with no closure/communication. For other applicants I guess I could say "no news is not good news".

      Question 1

Tell me about a change in policy or difficult policy you had to conform with. Tell me about a time someone did not do their share of a job.
