Great call with the recruiter, and then a really great video call with the hiring manager - she asked me to talk for 15 more minutes and told me I was going to go to next steps... to later receive a decline email from the recruiter telling me they went forward with someone else. Absolutely devastating, especially after being told I was going through to next steps.
