Entretien
The CIR interview for the JET Programme is conducted by a panel of former JETs or CLAIR employees. They ask you questions about how you might fit into a typical office environment in Japan, what kind of experience you are looking for out of your time with JET, and what you can bring to the table as an applicant.
Specifically for the CIR interview, they will ask you to demonstrate your Japanese language skills (N2 or N1 level equivalent) by reading a small passage of Japanese out loud, and ansewring comprehension questions about said passage afterward.

Smooth, very much more like the interviewers were trying to get to know you and how you would do in Japan over a professional interview where you answer technical questions and talk about your skills.
