So many red flags in this company. FYI: JCO is a premier group agency who is representing Prudential. Went for a nightmare interview with them (under the name of 'AL Associates') on Sept 2020. 1. Listed company as confidential online. Did not disclose until my 3rd interview with them. Later found out that it was called 'AL Associates' upon further probing from my end. The worse thing is that AL Associates is listed as 'deregistered' business entity which means they were closed down and not supposed to be operating any longer. There were no results on google search either. The manager then told me that they are currently operating as different agencies under JCO (under Prudential). So why did both the HR and the manager gave me this non-operating company named 'AL Associates' instead of JCO under Prudential? 2. They were hesitant to share their names with me until I asked. The HR referred to herself as 'Miss Tan' while the Manager just greeted me without any introduction. 3. I did not even manage to see their office for 3 of my interviews. It was all held at the Atlas bar at Parkview square. 4. Made me wait for 1 whole hour at the lobby. Told me 'the manager will see you soon' twice. Did not pick up any of my calls nor answer my text. HR later asked me to fill up a form after 1 hour and sent me home, telling me that it is just a 'get to know you' session. No apologies on their end. 4. Proceeded on to the next 2 interviews because the job sounds promising despite their lack of respect for my time. Manager was non-stop asking me about my other interviews that I was currently attending. Kind of unprofessional. 5. Job scope shown online VS verbally was very different. Verbally told me that there were sales and commission involved when JD online was purely PR role. When I questioned her why, she told me not to think of it as a 'sales job', more of client management. 6. Manager was pushing quite hard to pressure me on taking up the job despite telling her I needed more time to consider. Told me that I only have the weekends to think over before giving her an answer as she had to book the M9, M9a, M5 test for me. Overall, it was a lesson learnt for me. I am 95% confident that this is an insurance job. However, I did not expect them to lie and withhold certain information from their interviewees. Extremely disappointed with Prudential. TLDR: Agency under Prudential used a fake company name and fake JD to hire people as insurance agents
