An internal hiring manager reached out via LinkedIn to see if I was interested in interviewing. I was. A time and date was booked for a phone interview....which I felt went pretty well. I guess I was alone in that assessment given the fact that the hiring manager never actually called me again to let me know that I didn't get the job. I followed up....but was ghosted. As a hiring manager...you need to deliver bad news to unsuccessful candidates....that's part of the process. Ghosting them does not give a favorable impression of one's level of professionalism, nor does it speak well of the company. I get that you don't get every job you interview for....that isn't the issue. The issue is the complete and total lack of respect demonstrated to candidates....even after a commitment was made to let me know what the status is.
