This was hands down one of the worst interview experiences I’ve ever had. Invesco took over 2.5 months, 5 rounds of interviews, to evaluate candidates for an associate-level role. Let that sink in. If this is how the hiring process operates, I honestly can’t imagine how slowly decisions are made internally. The lack of efficiency, alignment, and momentum was glaring. Long gaps between rounds, unclear timelines, and a process that felt bloated and unnecessary made the entire experience frustrating and exhausting. What’s even more disappointing is that this was for the Digital Assets / Crypto team. I’ve never seen a crypto or digital assets team move this slowly. In an industry that demands speed, iteration, and decisiveness, this level of inertia is deeply concerning. It completely contradicts how modern crypto-native teams are expected to operate. Overall, the experience felt outdated, poorly managed, and unreasonably drawn out. Candidates deserve better transparency, faster decision-making, and basic respect for their time. This process was unacceptable and left a very negative impression of the organization.
