I applied and got contacted by HR. HR spent time talking about the business but didn’t ask me much. He succeeded in getting me excited and keen. I got progressed to interview and met with the hiring manager. She was unengaging and weirdly I could tell she would not hire me and just needed to get the interview done. I felt this vibe very early on and I just knew I wouldn’t progress regardless of how well I performed. After this I waited and waited and never got a response. When I emailed, HR told me they thought they already emailed me to say I was unsuccessful. This was quite poor of them. How do miss telling a candidate you interviewed that they didn’t get the job?
