Entretien
Infosys had come for hiring at JIIT Noida on 1st October, 2012, intending to hire a total of 100 candidates, out of more than 1000 appearing from all 3 Jaypee Institutes (JIIT, JUIT, JUET). The initial shortlising involved a preliminary round consisting of a written aptitude (non-technical) test having MCQ type questions. The standard of questions was easy enough, but there were a couple of questions that were the decision makers in terms of who will make it to the interview rounds. Over 250 students cleared the written round.
These 250 were called on 2nd October for interview rounds. There were a total of 10 interviewers, all from Infosys's HR dept. I was asked about my involvement as an Event Manager in the Jaypee Youth Club (JYC), about my relatively low percentage in class 12, and about my hobbies. But the most detailed answers were expected in response to my queries regarding my Final Year Project viz. what inspired me to take it up, how do I manage my project team etc.
The interviewers were looking for confidence and good communication skills, as well as some form of technically sound mind. My interview lasted around 20 minutes.
A total of 130 students were finally selected, that included 29 from JUET, 22 from JUIT and the rest from JIIT.
