First meeting was with the hiring manager, mostly just questions about experience and history, etc. The hiring manager said that the technical portion of the interview process would be very casual, maybe just going over some code I had previously written, for example. The technical portion was in fact a very standard technical round and it didn't involve going over any code I had written. The interviewer clearly had preferences for how he wanted the questions answered, and I felt that he sort of wanted me to fail.
