They popped up in my university email, asking if I am interested in this job, which I was. I submitted my resume. We scheduled an interview. We agreed on 3:30 pm, but they called at 3 pm - although I mentioned previously that I had a class at that time. Anyways. I picked up this phone call during my class and we managed to make it work. The weird thing was that the interviewer, which is the co-partner guy, might be walking/running his dog or something. He was shouting out his dog's name once during his interview. But he said that his earphones fell twice. For those with legit working experiences or internships, have you ever had an interview like this? I gathered that you are "fancy" and "cool", but dude, walking a dog in an interview isn't cool. At least for me, I was shocked. The talk went okay. We scheduled a trial test. It was not short, but also not too long, either. I finished it quickly with useful guidance (I had lots of experiences pre-grad school and with undergrads for their career planning, so it was fairly a straightforward task). I submitted it, and after the agreed-upon timeline of notification, I asked them about my result, and they said they cannot offer me the job. Now I am thinking that the trial test cases are actually their current cases, so they are just using the interviewees without having to pay them. I might be wrong, but you just keep it in mind. A trial test for a company that does not keep up with its promises ( Glassdoor said they might change your contract to case-based, too) can be a scam.
