I applied on LinkedIn and interviewed with ION Group (Vancouver, BC) in February 2022. The interview process was thorough, beginning with two 30-minute behavioural interviews with Analysts. "SuperDay" followed which consisted of three more behavioural interviews with upper management plus a case study where we had an hour to prepare and 20 minutes to present, followed by a Q&A.
The following week I received a verbal offer via email from HR and was told that a formal offer would be arriving "in the coming days" pending approval from the CEO. Two and a half months have gone by and I haven't received it yet. HR has done a poor job in responding, as they have followed up a few times apologizing for the delay. Clearly, there are underlying issues with the company that has restricted them from sending the offer letters. This entire process has created a considerable amount of stress and anxiety in my life. If you value your sanity, do not apply here.

Dopo un primo colloquio positivo con le risorse umane, ho preso parte al loro test tecnico. Ho una laurea in matematica e mi era stato assicurato che non sarebbe stato svantaggioso per questo test, grazie alla presenza di domande di logica, inglese e un codice da compilare in un linguaggio a propria scelta. Per i primi due argomenti non c'è stato alcun problema ma la fregatura (per la mia preparazione accademica) è stata la parte di programmazione che, contrariamente da come mi era stato detto, consisteva in 3/5 del test e soprattutto era infattibile per qualcuno con le mie conoscenze. Ovviamente nei giorni successivi mi è arrivata una mail con scritto che non volevano proseguire con me per il lavoro.
Quello che posso dire è che non possono pretendere che fisici o matematici abbiano quella padronanza nella programmazione.

Zoom with two employees who had gone through the program. Asked fairly basic questions. Was told I would hear back either way in the next couple of weeks but it took months for an eventual rejection.
