Nurse of 10+ years
I applied for the ER position within Integris Health and they wanted to do a phone interview. The recruiter Kasey was very nice at first until it came to the question of required salary of which I overshot as most people do to allow room for negotiation. She physically laughed! I told her that I saw that number posted. She said that indeed will post that number as that is what everyone in the area pays but they pay based on location and what the surrounding pays. Basically contradicting herself. I applied for a day position and she told me that I would be required to work nights as I have never worked in the ER before. I told her that nights does not work with my family life which is why I applied for a day position. She then became very short and rude like she didn't want to even hire anyone and asked if I wanted to close this ticket. Her end line to the phone interview was "If you change your mind you are more than welcome to apply for the position again in the future." It may seem as a common ending for a phone interview but the way she said it implied that applying is about as far as I would get. Most companies/recruiters will say something along the lines of "If you change your mind please let me know here is my number/email, we would be more than happy to have you."
Straight forward, no tricky questions. Phone call then in person. BUsiness casual. Got tour of floor and met staff. Was required certain vacicine proof and went through 2 week orientation

After application, interview scheduled within the next week with nurse manager at job fair. Staff very friendly. Inquired about nursing present and future goals in nursing. I was hired on the spot after initial interview.

The interview process was very straight forward. Asked basic scenario questions regarding working with a difficult employee and how would you solve the situation to ensure a positive teamwork environment
