I'm not going to lie, I was really excited at the prospect of working here. The interview process consisted of a recruiter screening, followed by a 30 minute online interview and then an in person one if successful. The conversation I had with the two senior data scientists was so much fun and I thought we hit it right off the bat. I really liked the relaxed vibe of the interview and there was not a single hint of those silly behavioural questions you sometimes get for entry level jobs. The only issue I have is with the recruiter who made this process slightly unbearable. I explicitly asked the recruiter what the interview would entail and who it would be with to better prepare and my questions were completely ignored. This ultimately set me up for failure as I was slightly taken aback when the senior data scientists pulled up a logistic regression model and asked me to explain the output. I had joined that call expecting to discuss my experience, not be spot tested. To make things worse, the recruiter ghosted me post interview and I had to email twice to get an AI generated rejection. Nonetheless, I'm definitely envious of whoever got the job and I wish the team well!
