I applied online and then was invited to a hiring event. There were roughly 8 or so high up managers conducting interviews for all positions. I was pulled back and got asked some behavioral questions (incredibly easy). The manager who interviewed me wanted to offer me the job but then was told by some HR rep that they had no more openings left for Assistant Manager. After this then the guy offered me a job as a cheese specialist.
Are you kidding me???? I come in to interview for Assistant Manager and then you offer me a job as a cheese specialist!? How incredibly degrading and unprofessional. The fact alone that the interviewer interviewed me for a job that they claimed was no longer available is ridiculous.
What makes matters even worse is that the day following my interview, a friend of mine applied for the same position and they offered it to him saying it was the last opening! The whole experience completely blew me away in such a bad way. I had asked for the highest manager of the location to contact me about my concerns related to my experience. The HR rep said someone would get a hold of me, but I never heard a single word again.
Incredibly disorganized and unprofessional.
It was a simple interview. It Depends who interviews you on the difficulty. Simple questions unless you are interviewing with a store manager. Questions are not consistent store to store.

Simple interview process. The lady who interviewed me was nice. There was nothing crazy about the interview. very typical. However, for a manager's position, the pay is low. I don't recommend working here as there are most likely better places to work.

They called me in for an interview with the director. I was asked about my strength and weaknesses. What I liked/disliked in a job. I stressed how much I care about customer service and he really appreciated it. It's definitely something they look for. He said assistant manager was considered an entry level management position and offered to hire me on the spot. I had two and a half years of experience being a supervisor and a food service company.
