J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Houzz en sept. 2021
Entretien
Recruiter reached out to me to understand my background in details and set role and compensation expectations. I was told Houzz has 2 pillars under Data Science - ML and Product analytics and this role is for product analytics team. So it seemed a good mutual fit.
Tech Screen: SQL
Virtual Onsite: SQL, Case Study, Hiring Manager (More technical than usual - Experimentation techniques, Statistics, Asked about machine learning), Stakeholder conversation/ case study
Recruiter came back in a few days with positive feedback, saying the team is pumped about me. He discussed compensation expectations again. Everything seemed ok.
Recruiter contacted again in a week, saying that the team felt it is not great fit as they are looking for ML background. LOL, seriously? Do you not keep notes of previous conversations?
It felt like waste of time, so I mentioned the same. Recruiter did not like that (I guess). At least it felt like that based on the response.
Waste of time!

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Houzz (San Francisco, CA) en nov. 2020

Quite awful. The tech SQL interview was handled by someone junior and very new to the company!!!. Told me to 'assume tables and data' but expected a rigid output.A lot of miscommunication involved in what was asked with a very robotic feel. Also told me that 'Rows between unbounded preceding and current row' won't work in SQL????
Frankly left a lot to be desired in an overall disappointing interview experience

Basic Retention Rate question. Cumulative sum (Apparently unbounded preceding and current row won't work???)
