I applied online for a co-op position and about 2 weeks later they sent me an pre-screening email with 18 questions (Such as "Describe your computer experience/software/simulation/design packages you have used."). I sent them my answers and 1 day later I was notified via a phone call that I was chosen to move further in the selection process. They wanted an on site interview, so they flew me out there (Paid for my flight, hotel and rental car) for a 3 hour tour and panel QA. The interview was mostly technical and they wanted to how my experience specifically related to their needs. The panel consisted of 1 HR person and 2 engineers.
