J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Henry Schein (Melville, NY) en déc. 2023

      Entretien

I received an email from an internal company recruiter asking me for a few dates and times for a 30 minute video call. I responded promptly giving that information, I was then asked what time zone I was in and was promised to be sent a Teams invite. I responded again with affirmation, looking forward to speaking with her. 24 hours pass by and I still wasn’t sent an invite. I email the recruiter again asking if they could send an invite to confirm the interview, and she sends me one for the very next day giving me less than 24 hours to prepare. The next day comes, I get on the call and I waited. 15 minutes pass by and I sent her an email asking if she needed to reschedule. No response. I waited another 15 minutes before I hopped off the call. I sent her an email telling her to just withdraw my application after seeing how my time was wasted…again. I should note that I previously applied to this company for a similar position, just different in title categorization, only a few weeks earlier. This same exact recruiter contacted me with the same cookie-cutter email asking me for the same information for an interview, only to ghost me before a call even took place then. Having no idea what happened on that previous application, I had to log in to my workday account to find out that they moved that application to the “Inactive” status without ever sending me a general ‘thanks but no thanks’ email or saying that they “went in a different direction”. Where is the communication? What is it with these company recruiters to just straight up ‘ghost’ applicants and waste our time? This is the SECOND time in which this company has utterly fouled up its interviewing process before it even started by failing to do something as simple as follow up with an email response. And to top it off, she spelt my name wrong on the initial email for this position I applied to, even though she already made contact with me on the previous application. When I sent her an email stating I was withdrawing my application she replied back trying to gaslight me, which I didn’t appreciate, saying how she is “typically also on the other end of candidates not showing up to interviews”. What does that have to do with me? So professionalism only goes one way? I confirmed all my details you asked for, prepared for the interview on very short notice, cleared my schedule and showed up. You didn’t. You still get paid whether candidates show up or not because it’s a part of your job. All I risk is having my time wasted, twice. You must forget that applicants are interviewing you to see if we even want to work here, as much as you’re interviewing us to see if we have the skills necessary to be a fit. This is truly inexcusable from a company that touts “Open Communication” and “Each Person Is Important As The Next” in your so-called ‘Team Schein Company Values’. Do better.
