Various phone and online interviews followed by an onsite with 5 or 6 different people. Communication along the way was dire. At the onsite day, the recruiter had forgotten I had an interview and the reception people were not there. Eventually my interviewing manager was found - she had been sat wondering where I was. The interview with her was good. She clearly understood the role and what she was looking for. I found her knowledge impressive. The room itself was an airless, super hot glass pod. Both of us found it extremely uncomfortable. I was to spend the next few hours in this 'room', while various far less competent interviewers came and went. Most of which consisted of random, irrelevant questions. In the final interview, one of the panel kept trying to gain information from me about a competitor company I had worked for. I thought this was unethical and disloyal so I dodged the question. Which clearly irritated her. On leaving I was asked "do you want to have a look around".. I said I did and was reluctantly dragged around the building at high speed. It was easy to see why they wanted to avoid doing this. The place was a chaotic shambles with row upon row of stressed looking staff and people literally running around like headless chicken. One other thing, the lack of diversity there is blatant. Aside from the senior manager, nearly everyone I saw was mid twenties and white. Which is shockingly homogeneous even for tech.
