There was a screening call, then three video interviews with the last being with the executive director of Customer Service...Then a ghosting. On the last call, they asked if my references were up to date and if I could send them again in the body of an email to the HR person, asked when I could start, apologized about the process being as long as it is, then admitted that she's trying to speed it up because they've been cancelling roles before they can be filled quite a bit lately.
I didn't even get an automated rejection. I did follow up. I understand this is not an uncommon story in this space, but assumed something automated would eventually come after 4 interactions over the course of several months.
